Presentation of the book “Rote Zora – Feminist Urban Guerrilla – in the Federal Republic of Germany 1975-1995 ”
This is an italian independent and self-produced feminist publication on the German group of women and lesbians Rote Zora, who has carried out feminist actions of urban guerrilla in the German Federal Republic from the 70s to the 90s. In the book they come collected all the group’s announcements and the documents with which they have chosen to tell their political thought, in addition to the chapters to contextualise the political reality within which they are moves.
After a first part of the presentation of the book we propose a workshop to get to discuss in small groups, starting from some texts of the Rote Zora, of themes that are still current today. The workshop we will use different modalities as writing, arpentage, collective reading and collage.
The Rote Zora group based its policy on an analysis of the
oppressions that today we can call intersectional, for this
we think that, besides the historical interest of the book, it is important deepen which of their political analyzes are still current
today.
